Wheatstone has provided professional audio for  three decades earning the reputation of one of the world's top audio manufacturers. Wheatstone Corporation designs and manufactures professional broadcast audio equipment under the WHEATSTONE, AUDIOARTS ENGINEERING, VORSIS, and COMMERCIAL AUDIO brand names

The Early Days

Beginning as Audioarts Engineering in 1974, the company manufactured audio consoles for recording studios and sound touring companies under the Wheatstone trademark, and audio processing (limiters, equalizers, crossovers, etc.) under its own name. The company incorporated in 1981 as Wheatstone Corporation in the state of Connecticut at the Grey Barn production site and entered the  broadcast market.

Targeting the high-end console market was compatible with the quality standards previously set, and the corporation quickly established a reputation for quality equipment at fair prices. It has built broadcast consoles since 1981.

Syracuse Facility

Growth caused the company to seek new quarters in 1986, and Wheatstone moved to Syracuse, NY. This move allowed the company to utilize the large electronics industry workforce in that city. The company continued to expand its product line, moving into the television market, as well as downward into the small radio market.

New Headquarters in NC

In 1998 Wheatstone relocated to its state-of-the-art, 52,000 square foot facility in New Bern, NC. The turn key operation has a workforce of almost 100 employees. Wheatstone Corporation manufactures digital control surfaces, digital audio networks, AOIP automation audio and control interfaces, digital signal processors along with studio furniture and accessories.

New Divisions and New Directions

In 2005 the company decided to return to its early roots in signal processing with the launch of the award winning Vorsis line of signal processors. In 2007 Wheatstone created a new Commercial Audio division geared towards live audio and installed sound applications.

The Future of Wheatstone Audio

The company continues to develop new products in response to market needs, as well as adding and improving its present line. Wheatstone is a growing, dynamic international company that is financially solid; its success is a tribute to its unique philosophy founded on exemplary audio quality, craftmanship and value.
