Clear Channel Atlanta

When Jim Gantner, an engineer for Clear Channel’s Atlanta cluster, set out to rebuild a production room, he didn’t want to spend a lot of money for the console.
“We had initially budgeted for the Audioarts Engineering W-12 console,” says Gantner, “ but decided to hold out till the newer Audioarts X-12 was released, and it was worth the wait.”
“One of the goals,” explains Gantner, “was to select an inexpensive 12-channel console to get audio in and out of the computers.” For that, the built-in USB port included with the console was a plus. Since several other production rooms in Atlanta are slated for renovation, it was decided to standardize on the X-12 if things went well, and they did.
