Definition:
A web broadcast is any event
viewed simultaneously by numerous people connecting to the same web
site. Web broadcasts often feature celebrity interviews, open-forum
discussions, streaming music and/or video, and product announcements.
Why is it relevant?
More and more people are
tuning in to online sources for news, entertainment, and information. A
decade ago, just one-in-fifty Americans got the news with some
regularity from what was then a brand new source- the internet.
Today, nearly one-in-three regularly get news online.
